Meeting Location – Just outside the Main Gate Entry to the Park
515 Maroondah Hwy corner with Maroondah Main Loop Road, Healsville vic.

Time: 11.00am

Entry into Park – We will follow each other to enter the park and find a parking area together as it seems to be a few car parks around inside and we don’t want to lose each other.

Turn into Maroondah Main Loop road, at 1st intersection turn left to arrive into the main car park.
If it is wet you may encounter pot holes on this road.

From this Car Park we will walk together from point to point as it is difficult to make up an Itinerary within the park.

Lunch – TBA – approx 2.00pm

Dam was built in the 1920,s as is the 3rd dam built to supply Melbourne Water.
It is 41 metres in height and overlooks the Watts River.

The park is surrounded by lovely gardens on the base of the dam wall and has great views from the wall across the reservoir and over the gardens.

There are some walking tracks.

Maroondah Forest Track – pleasant and moderately steep – 800 metres

Hendersons Hill Track – starts from the picnic area – moderately steep 1.4 kms

Scenic Views Track – Grassed Area with Large Trees – views of mountains

Donnelly’s Weir

Echo Tunnel

Rose Steps – walks up to the top of the dam wall and spectacular views across reservoir and gardens.

The Falls lookout – only if the dam overflows then the spillway will have a waterfall

Selovers Lookout – Bell Rotunda – Rose Steps – Revells Falls
