Kensington is one of the older Suburbs of Melbourne with some leafy streets lined with the beautiful Edwardian or Victoria homes.

The Walk Itinerary
1. Allied Pinnacle Flour Mills from the 1800’s is still a working and operating mill today on Arden Street, Kensington. The Silos are the around the corner on Elizabeth Street.
Allied sources it’s wheat from all over Australia and makes flour.
2. Crossing the Ardent street Footbridge over the railway lines onto Leafy lined Bellair Street with all the small historic Edwardian and Victorian houses.
3. 166-168 Bellair Street on corner of Wight Street Kensington
Islington House -1891 – was used on the TV Show ‘The Sullivans’
It was originally built for Mr. James Wales a Real Estate Business man who later also became a councillor and mayor for Kensington and Flemington.
4. 114 Bellair Street
Kuruc House – 1898 -an example of Queen Anne Villa and was occupied by a Surgeon Joseph Moss.
5. 86 Bellair Street
Hal Porter’s House – Hal wrote a memoir called “Watcher on the Cast Iron Balcony” describing his early memories of growing up before WW1at this address.
6. 22-40 Bellair Street
Kensington Town Hall – 1901 – Classical Style Building
7. Newarket Saleyards – 1859 – used for sales of livestock in Melbourne
