DANDENONG RANGES DAY TRIP
Includes Forest Composition Activity at Sherbrooke Falls and a Bonus Puffing Billy Photoshoot with the optional visit to Alfred Nicholas Gardens
Meet: 10am – 12 pm maximum – Sherbrooke Picnic Ground Car Park – Toilet facilities here and BBQ electric and gas.
Tutorial: Will be held on this track as a Walk through composition class.
This tutorial is for members who wish to learn to separate the chaos of a busy forest into smaller sets of detailed layers of the forest. It is not about the camera settings and techniques however due to the changing light within the forest there will be camera settings given to you to make the walk easier due to the changing light within the forest.
I am no expert in Forest photography but what I do know is what I would like to share.

Difficulty: Easy walk – some steps down to the falls
Approx. 1.1 kms one way and 1.1 kms back
Duration: 1 hour or more for the tutorial – needs to end by 12 Noon

Here is an opportunity to take a photo of the Puffing Billy travelling over the trestle bridge

Time: 12.15pm latest arrival here – train departs the Belgrave Train Station at 12.45pm. It takes about 5 mins for it to reach our location.
Where: Monbulk Creek Trestle Bridge – this bridge passes over the Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Selby
1. Upper View Railway Track Level – park on Greenbrook Road, Selby (1st image)
2. Lower level under the bridge – park on Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Selby just up from Greenwood Road (2nd image)
Lunch/Coffee: 1.15pm after Puffing Billy shoot – Time for a social coffee or lunch break together if you wish to join
