Monthly Club Competitions

Image Authenticity and AI Policy

For all competitions, all visual components of your submitted image must originate from scenes captured by you, the photographer.

Standard post-processing techniques (such as adjustments to color, contrast, and sharpening) are permitted. We also allow:

Composite Images: You may combine multiple photographs, provided every element in the final image was captured by you.
AI-Powered Object Removal: The use of AI tools to remove distracting elements (e.g., sensor dust, litter, people) is acceptable.

However, the use of generative AI to create or add any new elements to your image is strictly prohibited. The final photograph must not contain any content (such as skies, people, objects, etc.) that you did not photograph yourself.

Your submission must be a genuine representation of your own photographic work and vision.

Competitions are held on the second Monday of the month meeting.

Competition entries must be submitted by midnight on the Saturday BEFORE the 4th Monday / Activity night club meeting. No late entries will be accepted after this time.

All competition entries are submitting using the Photo Contest Pro website. To request a login, email the competition secretary. Details are located in the member’s section.

Digital Images

Digital images should be sized according to the competition rules.
Max 1920px x 1080px

PRINTS

Prints should be mounted in accordance with Section 8 of the rules. Standard Small prints should be checked to ensure they will not damage other prints in the box. eg, wet glue, exposed tape, etc.

In addition to entering your physical print, you must also enter a digital copy of the image via the PhotoContest Pro website. It should also be sized according to the competition rules.

Please note: this digital image will only be used to create the powerpoint presentation for the judging night. It will NOT be supplied to the judge during their deliberation process.

Members should ensure that images for set subject competition meet the definition set out in the syllabus.

Maximum Allowed Entries into Monthly Competition

The maximum number of entries allowed each month is four (4). Your 4 entries can be used for one category or broken up across multiple categories.

The options for how to enter:

All 4 entries in Print Section
All 4 Entries in Digital Section
3 Digital + 1 Print (total: 4 entries)
2 Digital + 2 Prints (total: 4 entries)
1 Digital + 3 Prints (total: 4 entries)

If you are wanting to enter in the Set Subject category, this must be a Digital format and counts towards one of the 4 entries.

The options for entering are :

1 Set Subject + 3 Digital (total: 4 entries)
1 Set Subject + 3 Prints (total: 4 entries)
1 Set Subject + 1 Digital + 2 Prints (total: 4 entries)
1 Set Subject + 2 Digital + 1 Print (total: 4 entries)
