There was a good turnout of members and visitors at the meeting.
President Jenny thanked the representatives of Geelong Camera
Club for coming along, as well as Les and Val Armstrong and
Arthur Lilly from Doncaster Camera Club, who judged the competition.
The judges said the entries were of a high standard.
Martin Clancy, in his last role as Interclub Competition Secretary,
presented the entries. (We would like to thank Martin for doing such a good job in the last 2 years).
At the end of the competition the judges showed us some of their lovely images and DPIs.
Unfortunately Geelong Camera Club went away with the trophy, so we have to try harder to get it back, next year. We thank the judges and Geelong Club for participating.
Congratulations to the winners.

If you visit our web-site you will see that the area for monthly competition images has be re-moved. The Committee feels that it would be like opening a can of worms. So it was decided to keep the worms in the can at this stage!
As an alternative, the Committee would like the members to submit images of their own choosing if they wish them to be included in the Gallery or for other areas throughout the web-site. So, members‘ work will still be displayed if they wish to take this opportunity. Please forward your se-lected images to the Webmaster via e-mail giving him a few to choose from so he can change the site more often. Go to the web-site and see how it looks. The current images each have the title and the maker‘s name included. Until next month.
The Committee has decided, due to the costs of running the club, that it will be necessary to in-crease fees for 2012. The last increase was in 2008.
So from next year the fees will be:
Full Membership $60.00 Couple $84.00
Concession $30.00 Concession Couples $42.00
Junior $30.00 Full time student $30.00
There will also be a joining fee of $15.00 for new members.

A photographer went to a socialite party in New York. As he entered the front door, the host said 'I love your pictures - they're wonderful; you must have a great camera.'
He said nothing until dinner was finished, then:
'That was a wonderful dinner; you must have a terrific stove.'
