"Helping Grow Your Photography"
For more than 50 years the Essendon Camera Club has been acknowledged as one of Melbourne's foremost photographic clubs.
ECC members are represented in competitions at state, national and international
level.
A sample of their work is displayed here (click on any image).
However less inexperienced photographers and newcomers are always made
welcome and given the opportunity to grow their photographic skills.
The club meets twice monthly. Click
here to view a copy of our current syllabus. We are
an incorporated association operating under rules
approved by Consumer Affairs Victoria. (Downloads require Adobe Reader.)
Monthly competitions
The second Monday of each month is competition night for prints, slides and digital files.
Many members submit their work for review by an external judge. All benefit
from the judges' analysis of the submitted images and their helpful comments. Click here to download the ECC competition rules.
A new category has been added to our monthly competitions: Digital Projection. As the name suggests, this will be for images to be submitted as digital files for projection. Click here for a guide to preparing images for this exciting new category.
Activities
The fourth Monday of each month is an activity night such as a guest speaker,
demonstration, or visit to a photographic-related facility. Weekend outings
are also conducted to allow members to combine a day out with practical
photography.
Monthly newsletter
The club publishes a monthly newsletter, "In Focus" available
to all club members. We also have an excellent library that is open to all members.
